They specialize in structural fabrication and construction, with a strong presence in the region. Our client is in search of an experienced Procurement Manager to play a pivotal role in their ongoing success, particularly focusing on architectural projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute procurement strategies, policies, and procedures tailored to the industry.
- Oversee the entire procurement process, including vendor selection, negotiation, contracting, and supplier relationship management.
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, conduct due diligence, and provide recommendations based on quality, cost, delivery, and other relevant factors.
- Engage in negotiations to secure favorable terms and conditions, ensuring competitive pricing and risk mitigation.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to align procurement needs with business objectives.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, fostering open communication and addressing any issues or disputes promptly.
- Monitor and assess supplier performance against predefined metrics, addressing any performance gaps.
- Continuously seek opportunities to streamline and enhance procurement processes, promoting efficiency and cost savings.
- Stay updated on industry trends and market conditions to proactively identify potential risks and implement suitable mitigation strategies.
- Analyze data and generate comprehensive reports on procurement activities, including spend analysis, cost savings, and supplier performance.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience as a Procurement Manager or in a similar role within the joinery industry.
- Profound knowledge of procurement best practices, supply chain management, and contract negotiation.
- Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret data for data-driven decision-making.
- Outstanding negotiation and communication abilities.
