Collaborates with senior management on all aspects of strategic plan development and implementation. The role holder will lead and participate in developing, communicating and executing the strategic initiatives, and will also support the Director in the formulation of programmes and plans for the organizations major functions and will help set and establish the vision, mission and ongoing strategic objectives.
Work with Strategy Manager & Director to develop and update organizations corporate strategy aligning top-down strategic priorities with bottom-up departmental plans
Manage a portfolio of internal & external projects, ensuring the overall program is aligned to and directly supports the achievement of strategic objectives
Work with Strategy Manager & Director to develop medium and long-term strategic plans for the organization, which are aligned to the Museum’s vision and mission
Design, implement and manage a Balanced Scorecard for Corporate Performance using Strategy management software
Establish organizational goals, methods, policies and procedures for implementing programmes in alignment with the sector’s strategic vision, mission and goals
Oversee the progress of all internal & external projects, ensuring the overall program is aligned to and directly supports the achievement of strategic objectives
Drive strategic alignment and creates a shared awareness of strategic priorities with the management team
Develop and provides reports for Strategy Manager & on budget performance, KPIs & annual plan & targets
Work in conjunction with the Directors of each department to establish plans which project feasibility, staffing and time constraints of the department
Identify the needs of the various Museum departments that must be met in order to ensure that Museum operations are performed efficiently and effectively
Create and updates organizations corporate performance reporting/dashboard
Ensure operational excellence in achieving KPI’s, working towards establishing a sustainable financial model by achieving any set financial targets and driving internal process improvement and efficiency
As a brand ambassador the role holder will consider the customer prospective in all projects - working to understand and manage all stakeholders
Requirements
Experience Requirements
8 years of post graduate experience in developing and implementing strategic initiatives within a museum or cultural institution
2 -3 years of experience in a management role which included leading & managing people
Experience in Design, implementation and management of a Balanced Scorecard for Corporate Performance
Fluency in English
Education Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Strategy or related disciplines
