We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Procurement Engineer – MEP to oversee procurement activities related to mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for large-scale construction projects in Riyadh. The successful candidate will play a critical role in sourcing MEP materials, negotiating with suppliers, and ensuring timely delivery aligned with project schedules. This role demands strong technical knowledge of MEP systems, deep understanding of the local and international supply markets, and the ability to manage procurement in a fast-paced construction environment. Key Responsibilities: · Manage end-to-end procurement activities for MEP materials, equipment, and subcontracted services in line with project specifications. · Prepare and review RFQs, technical & commercial evaluations, and purchase orders. · Liaise with MEP engineering teams to ensure technical compliance of all procured items. · Evaluate and select suppliers and subcontractors based on quality, cost, delivery time, and reliability. · Negotiate terms and conditions, ensuring the best value while maintaining quality standards. · Monitor vendor performance and delivery schedules to meet tight project deadlines. · Maintain accurate procurement records and prepare regular status reports. · Coordinate with site, planning, logistics, and finance teams to ensure smooth workflow. · Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, project budgets, and contractual obligations. · Stay updated on MEP market trends, material innovations, and pricing dynamics. · Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or related discipline). · Minimum of 7–10 years of procurement experience, with a focus on MEP works in the construction industry. · Proven experience working on large-scale building or infrastructure projects in the GCC, preferably in Saudi Arabia. · In-depth knowledge of MEP systems, local and international suppliers, and applicable technical standards. · Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle). · Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills. · Fluent in English; Arabic is a plus.
