Job Description
Black Pearl is partnering with a leading engineering firm to recruit a dynamic Sustainability Strategy Lead to drive their ESG agenda and champion long-term environmental impact. Key Responsibilities: Own and execute the corporate sustainability strategy, including decarbonization, climate adaptation, circular economy, and more Lead the full sustainability reporting cycle (data collection, materiality assessments, stakeholder engagement, assurance) in line with GRI, CDP, SASB and UN SDG frameworks Manage and improve ESG ratings, certifications and disclosures (MSCI ESG, Sustainalytics, EcoVadis, etc.) Oversee multi-year, cross-functional initiatives (renewable energy integration, energy & water efficiency, sustainable procurement, waste reduction, employee engagement) Leverage digital ESG tracking and analytics tools to drive performance improvements 4+ years of sustainability experience in utilities or energy/water sectors, blending strategy-consulting and corporate roles Proven track record designing and implementing corporate sustainability and decarbonization strategies Hands-on expertise with end-to-end sustainability reporting and materiality assessments Experience managing ESG ratings/certifications and enhancing disclosure quality Strong program-management skills and the ability to engage senior stakeholders Bachelor’s in Engineering, Environmental Science, Business (Master’s preferred) Why You’ll Love This Role: Shape the sustainability vision of an established engineering firm Lead high-visibility ESG programs with measurable impact Collaborate closely with senior leaders across functions Competitive package and growth opportunities Disclaimer: Please note that Black Pearl will never ask any of its candidates for any payment in exchange for our services.
