Head of Technical - Reinsurance Required:

Job Description:

As a Head of Technical, the candidate will be heading the technical team based in KSA reporting to the General Manager. Strategic and monitoring role of the Reinsurance Departments.

Coordinate with IT to have a proper IT system in place in line with business requirements. Set procedures for initiating reviews. Set up proper systems to identify recoveries. Maintain liaison with brokers, ceding companies, underwriters and rei insurers. Maintain close relationships with principal insurers/ reinsurers/ retrocession Aries to ascertain their views on problematical issues. Regular and structured meetings with major clients/ insurers/ Account Executives. Awareness of the current underwriting practice. Coordination with HR on training of staff – emphasis on awareness of current market practices, knowledge of best practice. Ability to advise customers on material developments pertaining to the claim. Preparing suitable responses to the insurer on behalf of the client or the Account Executive negotiating on their behalf. Ability to question all ambiguities and seek clarification from clients where necessary. Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of the nature and sources of law, the law of tort, law of contract, the insurance contract and their application in the local and overseas. Technical underwriting analysis, geocoding and pricing, liaising with engineers for technical assessment and risk grading. Understands and applies rules relating to taxes, levies and policy issuance, Data Protection Act, Money Laundering, Client Monies and Terms of Business Agreement.

Requirements:

-Experience in Reinsurance and working with a Broker is perquisite to qualify for the role.

-Candidates willing to relocate to KSA may only apply.

-University Degree in Engineering preferred.

-Certification in Insurance preferred.

Nationality: European / American.

Languages Required:  English.

Hours: Full time.

Start Date: As soon as possible.

Length of contract: Permanent position.

Package Offered:  $15000-16000 per month + Insurance & Air Ticket for self and Family.
