Black & Grey HR is recruiting for a distinguished engineering services leader in the UAE. Our client is looking to hire a PLC Commissioning Engineer who plays a pivotal role in ensuring the successful commissioning and handing over of projects while adhering to company processes, standards, and customer expectations. This role involves leading a commissioning team, planning and scheduling project commissioning activities, and providing exceptional customer service by troubleshooting and resolving technical issues. The Commissioning Manager also oversees safety and quality assurance, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Planning and Scheduling: Develop and maintain a comprehensive schedule for project commissioning execution, including pre-commissioning activities. Ensure that the 4-week lookahead schedule is regularly updated, and necessary resources are allocated.
Site Management: Supervise day-to-day site commissioning activities, resolving any issues related to commissioning and system handover. Coordinate with site teams to ensure access to approved drawings and required documents.
Stakeholder Communication: Liaise with Customers, Clients, Consultants, and Contractors to obtain necessary approvals. Attend progress meetings to represent the companys interests.
Team Leadership: Lead the commissioning team, setting department and company objectives. Optimize material utilization, prevent wastage, and find cost-saving opportunities. Prepare reports on material shortages for management.
Technical Support: Provide technical support to field technicians and conduct hands-on testing of ICT/ELV systems. Assist AutoCAD engineers in preparing as-built drawings and compiling handover documents during project closure.
Safety and Quality: Manage safety programs for field operations, ensuring compliance with HSE codes and standards. Perform risk assessments for hazards, follow standard operating procedures, and maintain quality assurance documentation.
Training: Provide administrator-level and user-level training to Clients, Consultants, and Operators as required.
Handover Process: Assist the Project team during the project handover process.
Environmental Health and Safety (EHS): Ensure a safe, clean, and healthy work environment within the department. Report any identified HSE issues, near misses, or emergency incidents promptly. Support the EHS team during emergencies.
Compliance: Adhere to all company policies, procedures, business ethics, codes, and QHSE (Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment) standards.

Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in SCADA, Piping and Instrumentation Drawing, SLD ( Service Level Description ), Control Loop.
- Familiarity with UAE building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
