Design, operate, maintain, and repair mechanical systems of ships.
Carry out major overhauls and De-carbs on Main engines & Generators.
Training in Risk Assessment & Incident Investigation.
Maintenance on Heat exchangers and various pipeline systems.
Inspections and surveys on machineries.
Inspect machinery and equipment and made sure that the equipment works properly before the ship is launched.
Responsible for carrying out onboard drinking water, boiler water & lube oil test.Specialize in repair and maintenance of ships when it is in dry dock.
Design and oversaw testing, installation, and repair of marine apparatus and equipment.
Operate and maintain propulsion systems and controls, bilge and fire systems, electricalcomponents and HVAC systems.
Evaluate equipment’s before installation to ensure that all parts are complete, and none is missing.
Evaluate malfunctioning equipment to diagnose issues.
Coordinate day-to-day critical operations and prepared all maintenance reports and safety checklists to facilitate record maintenance (USCG compliance)
Specialize in working on marine machinery, 2-stroke and 4-stroke-diesel engines, boilers, compressors and centrifugal oil separators.
Maintain daily records of fuel oil lube oil, gas oil, marine diesel, and cylinder oil.Create month end reports and does paperwork for the designated machinery.
Carry out planned maintenance routine under the supervision of Chief or Second Engineer
Requirements
Minimum 10 years working experience with Engine makers or Marine/Offshore/Power Generation Industry preferably
Good at English speaking and report writing
Any Nationality
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Good team player with good attitude, integrity, interpersonal, organization and time management skills
Excellent knowledge in troubleshooting and diagnostic tests to different types of diesel engines from different engine makers
At least Diploma in Marine/Mechanical Engineering or similar
