Our client is actively seeking a dynamic and seasoned Supply Chain Logistics Coordinator with experience in wood-based panel products including OSB Boards and Particle Boards or related sectors who will be responsible for their Logistics and supply chain operations. Your Role: As a Logistics Supply Chain Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in managing the flow of materials within our specialized wood-based panel manufacturing operations. You will be responsible for overseeing various aspects of inventory, transportation, quality control, and compliance to ensure seamless operations. Key Responsibilities: - Inventory Oversight: Monitor and manage wood inventory levels, ensuring materials are readily available for production. - Shipping and Receiving Coordination: Ensure incoming wood shipments meet quality standards and organize dispatch of finished products. - Optimized Transportation Planning: Schedule deliveries and pickups, while optimizing routes and managing transportation costs efficiently. - Collaborative Equipment Planning: Work closely with the Maintenance team to plan for essential equipment needed for maintenance and construction operations. - Quality Control Management: Maintain high standards by overseeing the quality of incoming materials and outgoing finished products, minimizing waste. - Comprehensive Documentation: Maintain accurate records of shipments, including bills of lading and shipping invoices, to ensure compliance and tracking. - Cross-Departmental Communication: Collaborate with various departments including production, procurement, and sales for seamless operations and timely deliveries. - Safety and Compliance Assurance: Ensure all wood material handling and transportation activities comply with safety regulations and guidelines.= - Proactive Problem-Solving: Address logistical challenges such as delays, shortages, or damaged goods, finding effective solutions to minimize disruptions. - Cost Management: Monitor and control transportation and logistics expenses, seeking optimization while upholding quality and efficiency. - Vendor and Supplier Relations: Cultivate and sustain relationships with wood suppliers, transportation providers, and relevant vendors for reliable and cost-effective services. - Continuous Process Enhancement: Identify areas for improvement in supply chain and logistics operations, implementing enhancements for increased efficiency and reduced costs. - Environmental Sustainability Advocacy: Promote eco-friendly practices in logistics operations, including waste reduction and minimizing the carbon footprint of transportation.Requirements
