Our client is a multinational law firm based in the DIFC. They are currently recruiting a Legal Secretary preferably having a Law Degree and law firm experience. The candidate must be a residing in the UAE (residence or visit visa).
Job Responsibilities
Assist and support lawyers and paralegals with their work as needed.
Welcomes guests and clients by greeting them in person or on the telephone, and by answering or directing inquiries.
Produce information by transcribing, formatting, inputting, editing, retrieving, copying, and transmitting text, data, and graphics to help coordinate case preparation.
Read, research, review, verify, and route correspondences, reports, and legal documents.
Draft, revise, and edit letters and other written documents, and collect and analyze information.
Organize client conferences, and attorney meetings by scheduling couriers, and other parties, and by coordinating preparation of charts, graphs, and other visuals.
Prepare expense reports and generate revenues by documenting and inputting lawyers billable time and reimbursable expenses, preparing invoices, and tracking payments.
Maintain lawyers calendar by planning and scheduling conferences, teleconferences, and travel.
Maintains client confidence by keeping client/lawyer information confidential.
Develop and maintain filing and retrieval systems, as well as digital archive systems.
Record and document meeting discussions, maintain transcripts and documents.
Maintain office supplies by checking stocks, placing and expediting orders, and evaluating new products.
Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements and calling for repairs.
Skills
Graduate from a distinguished university.
Fluent in English (oral and written).
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel and Power Point).
Legal Secretarial work in a Law Firm is mandatory.
