Job Description
We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Joinery Machinery Maintenance Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Joinery Machine Maintenance Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our joinery manufacturing machinery and equipment. Your expertise will be essential in maintaining high-quality production standards and minimizing downtime. Responsibilities: Preventive Maintenance: Develop and implement a comprehensive preventive maintenance program for all joinery machines and equipment. Conduct regular inspections, cleaning, and calibration to identify and address potential issues before they escalate. Reactive Maintenance: Respond promptly to machine breakdowns or malfunctions. Diagnose problems, perform repairs, and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues to minimize production disruptions. Spare Parts Management: Maintain an organized inventory of spare parts, tools, and equipment required for maintenance activities. Coordinate with the procurement team to ensure the availability of critical components when needed. Machinery Upgrades and Modifications: Identify opportunities for machinery improvements and efficiency enhancements. Collaborate with relevant teams to implement upgrades, modifications, and automation to optimize joinery production processes. Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standard operating procedures. Conduct risk assessments and implement safety measures to protect employees and equipment. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including maintenance schedules, work orders, and machine history. Generate reports on maintenance performance and machine reliability, and ISO standards. Training and Support: Provide training and technical support to machine operators and production personnel on proper machine operation and maintenance best practices. Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in joinery machinery and maintenance techniques. Identify areas for process optimization and cost reduction. Bachelors degree or equivalent in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering. Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer in the joinery or woodworking industry. Strong knowledge of joinery machines, including CNC routers, panel saws, edge banding, and sanding machines. Proficiency in diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure. Strong organizational and communication skills. Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Requirements
