Job Description

• Design, set up, and manage hydroponic farming systems, including nutrient delivery systems, irrigation systems, and climate control mechanisms, ensuring optimal plant growth and productivity.
  

• Cultivate a variety of crops using hydroponic techniques, such as nutrient film technique (NFT), deep water culture (DWC), or vertical farming systems, while adhering to specific requirements for each plant species.
  

• Monitor and maintain nutrient levels, pH balance, and electrical conductivity (EC) in the hydroponic solution, ensuring that plants receive the appropriate nutrients for healthy growth and development.
  

• Implement integrated pest management (IPM) strategies to prevent, monitor, and control pests and diseases in hydroponic environments. Employ organic and sustainable methods whenever possible to minimize the use of chemical interventions.
  

• Regularly inspect and maintain hydroponic equipment, including pumps, irrigation lines, sensors, and lighting systems, ensuring their proper functioning and making necessary repairs or replacements.
  

• Collect and analyze data on plant growth parameters, nutrient levels, and environmental conditions to optimize crop yields, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions for improved efficiency and production.
  

• Develop and execute planting schedules, crop rotation plans, and harvesting strategies to ensure a continuous supply of fresh produce. Coordinate with marketing and sales teams to meet customer demands and manage inventory effectively.
  

• Conduct research and stay updated on emerging hydroponic techniques, technologies, and best practices. Participate in professional development activities and collaborate with industry experts to enhance knowledge and skills.
  

• Train and supervise farm workers on hydroponic farming techniques, safety protocols, and standard operating procedures. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment while promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  

• Adhere to regulatory guidelines, quality standards, and food safety regulations specific to hydroponic farming. Maintain accurate records, documentation, and certifications related to crop production, inputs, and traceability.
