Job Description
As the Head Waiter at Rosa's Thai Restaurant, you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests. Your leadership skills, extensive hospitality expertise, and passion for customer service will contribute to the smooth operation of the front-of-house and ensure that our guests have a memorable visit. You will lead the wait staff, coordinate service, and uphold the restaurant's high service standards.
Responsibilities:
- Lead, train, and inspire the wait staff, setting a positive example of professionalism and service excellence.
- Conduct pre-shift meetings to communicate expectations and objectives for the shift.
- Ensure that guests receive a warm welcome and attentive service, exceeding their expectations.
- Monitor and ensure the accuracy of orders, verifying that all special requests and modifications are properly conveyed to the kitchen.
- Train and encourage the wait staff in effective upselling techniques to enhance the restaurant's average order value.
- Monitor sales data and strategize ways to increase guest spending.
- Maintain an organized reservation system and communicate effectively with the team.
- Conduct training sessions for new hires, focusing on service standards, menu knowledge, and hospitality etiquette.
- Provide ongoing coaching to enhance the team's skills and knowledge.
- Ensure that tables are set and presented according to the restaurant's standards for cleanliness and aesthetics.
- Implement the restaurant's sequence of service to maintain a consistent and exceptional guest experience.
- Ensure that the restaurant adheres to health and safety regulations, maintaining a safe and sanitary environment for guests and staff.
- Oversee the proper opening and closing procedures of the restaurant, ensuring compliance with operational protocols.
- Monitor online reviews and ratings on platforms such as review websites and social media.
