Our client is a well-reputed interior fit out and joinery contractor and we are hiring a UAE experienced interior fit out and joinery general manager from the hospitality sector to join their Dubai operations.
The general manager will be responsible for the cost effective and efficient production of all hospitality interior fit out and joinery focusing on quality, service, delivery timescales and cost.
The successful candidate will have experience of managing the entire life cycle of hospitality joinery projects from sales, design, production, delivery and installation.
Role Summary
Develop and implement strategic plans to improve and optimize the interior fit out joinery operations, production, service delivery, operating costs and skills.
Lead client meetings and collaborate with them for sales pitches, proposals and price negotiation.
Expand product offerings and ranges.
Work with the sales, design and supply chain teams to produce production plans and schedules and ensure that all requirements are ready for installation.
Ensure that all materials are procured at cost effective prices whilst maintaining the quality required.
Ensure all aspects of health and safety are adhered to maintain a safe workplace.
Improve efficiency to reduce production time, lower production costs and eliminate waste of materials whilst maintaining quality specifications.
Mandatory Skills & Experience
7 - 10 years’ UAE experience in interior fit out and joinery production management with proven ability in effectively managing joinery operations and production teams.
Strong commercial and financial acumen with a focus on value engineering, cost reduction and profitability.
Demonstrable experience in building a customer-centric culture and accelerating client satisfaction and retention.
Sound knowledge of market trends and production best practices in hospitality interior design, fit out and joinery production management.
Candidate Profile
Currently living in the United Arab Emirates.
Fluent in English – this is a client facing role.
Strong management experience with the gravitas to lead client discussions.
Aged between 35 – 45 years.
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Interior Design or Interiors Construction
