Job Description

Our client is one of the reputed food services supply based in Dubai, is urgently looking for a Finance & Tax manager for their operations. In this role you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Conduct detailed reviews of product, supplier, and customer profiles.
  • Assess costs, logistics, and documentation requirements.
  • Analyze business entity structure and legal contracts for tax implications.
  • Oversee VAT registration and filing in UAE, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, and Oman.
  • Ensure compliance with excise duty and VAT regulations across GCC countries.
  • Prepare for future VAT implementations in remaining GCC countries.
  • Develop a roadmap for ERP system changes to automate tax compliance.
  • Perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for new entities and validate system updates.
  • Engage expert consultants for VAT, excise duty, and customs compliance.
  • Map transactions and analyze VAT treatment under GCC laws.
  • Assess financial impacts of non-deductible VAT and ambiguous interpretations.
  • Establish processes for VAT transaction reporting and compliance.
  • Ensure readiness for VAT audits and share compliance methodologies across market
  • Implement excise duty compliance in UAE and other GCC markets.
  • Provide support for interpreting and applying excise duty regulations.
  • Analyze financial costs related to VAT and excise duty implementation.
  • Ensure financial discipline and alignment with overall objectives.
  • Lead a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement.
  • Provide coaching and feedback to develop team capabilities.
  • Communicate effectively across teams and stakeholders.


    • Requirements

    To be considered for this role you need to possess the below criteria:

    1. A degree holder with a certification in taxation would be an added advantage.
    2. Should have minimum 5 years experience in manager or lead role who can develop a project plan and lead complete business assessment and tax compliance responsibilities.
    3. Should have willingness to travel if the situation demands.
    4. Should have strong expertise in managing financial discipline and alignment with overall objective
    5. Hands on experience in excise duty compliance in UAE and other GCC markets,VAT audits.
    6. UAE taxation and laws compliance experience is a must.
    7. Sound experience in ORACLE software is a must.
