ITP Media Group is the Middle East’s largest publisher with award-winning titles such as Esquire, Harper’s Bazaar, GQ, GRAZIA, Conde Nast Traveller, Cosmopolitan, Arabian Business and TimeOut

ITP is seeking an Editor with exceptional storytelling skills to lead Esquire Middle East’s portfolio. This role should create an agenda-setting narrative for Arabic excellence, positioned at the intersection the MENA region and the global diaspora.
Our aim is to create the most authentic product as reference for Arabic culture and tastemaking for our category today.

Reporting to the Editorial Director of Men’s Group in ITP, this is a leadership role that requires strong knowledge of the fashion and related sectors in order to determine an omnichannel content strategy, function as the PR face of the brand and run day-to-day activities across the brands’ media and experiential operations. Supported by a creative and editorial resources, you will be responsible for aligning the brand narratives with the team’s content strategies and editorial decisions. You will also play the role of a marketer and creative, as you conceptualise and produce content assets that resonate with viewers across earned, owned and paid platforms, with the aim of driving business goals. 



Requirements

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 


The ideal candidate should be an experienced Editor with at least 8 years proven publishing experience across fashion targeted, luxury focused media brands. Crucially, they must be flexible and have a can-do, positive attitude which shows they are respectful, responsible and dedicated, and by default demonstrate passion, brand understanding and leadership with an audience-first approach to their role.


We are looking for someone who is dynamic, proactive, and tenacious and likes to work in a multicultural environment.
An individual who is accountable, socially smart and extremely organised, someone who uses their own initiative and loves to communicate and work as part of a team.



Leadership & Management

  • Be the brand’s ambassador, advocate and spokesperson to both readers and the marketing and communications industry.
  • Strategically lead and direct the vision of the brand within the MENA region.
  • Hiring and developing writers, editors and freelancers across omnichannel contributions.
  • Interface with brand managers and the advertising teams to best create solutions appropriate for Esquire Middle East, and drive the business.
  • Work with the Managing Director on driving key business outcomes.



Key Tasks
  • Cultivate content marketing strategies targeted at driving traffic, engagement and building brand awareness within the MENA region.
  • Ensure brand voice consistency across all content assets.
  • Work with internal and external collaborators and creative resources to deliver content assets that are coherent with our brand voice and strategy.
  • Be responsible in developing Esquire’s MENA activity calendar and aligning the execution with cross-functional teams.
  • Track and advance the editorial calendar, and regularly measure and refine progress results to apply data-driven insights to future content strategies.
  • Build and monitor the success of a social media strategy for Esquire.
  • Apply SEO, content development, distribution and measurement to effectively tailor content to reach key audiences in the MENA region.
  • With the understanding of the best content practices on each channel, develop & align digital and social content channels
  • Create and edit content, both written and visual, mobilising storytelling opportunities on all channels — owned, earned and paid platforms.
  • Build relationships with PR and clients and nurture brand awareness, while gathering knowledge of category requirements 
  • Test and implement innovative and relevant methods of measuring content, campaigns and tools, keeping in mind the purpose of the derived results.
  • Work with senior management to continue to build Arabic language offerings to Esquire’s media operations.
