Job Description

Job Role:

The core of Quant is Data Science, and hence it requires highly capable individuals that can deliver the level of quality our clients have grown accustomed to, and to have a mindset that’s highly agile, critical and curious.

The primary responsibility of the Data Analyst will to create meaning from data sets, by transforming data into readable, goal-driven reports to assist in the continuous innovation and growth. This will require a detail-oriented individual, with strong exposure to mathematical and statistical principles, and deep understanding of the popular data analysis tools and databases.

Summarized Job Responsibilities:

1. Managing data sets, including creation, updates, and deletion.

2. Provide quality assurance of imported data.

3. Commissioning and decommissioning of data sets.

4. Developing reports and analysis.

5. Managing and designing the reporting environment, including data sources, security, and metadata.

6. Supporting the data warehouse in identifying and revising reporting requirements.

7. Supporting initiatives for data integrity and normalization.

8. Assessing tests and implementing new or upgraded software and assisting with strategic decisions on new systems.

9. Generating reports from single or multiple systems.

10. Troubleshooting the reporting database environment and reports.

11. Evaluating changes and updates to source production systems.

12. Training end users on new reports and dashboards.

13. Providing technical expertise on data storage structures, data mining, and data cleansing.

Requirements

Academic Prerequisites:

Bachelors and/or Master’s degree in Computer Science or other suitable majors.

Skills Required:

1. Proficient in Microsoft office and Google Suite

2. Is capable in programming and/or the understanding of programing languages

3. Has quantitative and qualitative analytics skills

4. Has sensible statistical knowledge

5. Experienced in data visualization

6. Experienced with Machine Learning

7. Defining Metrics of Data and Analytics projects

8. Familiar with data architecture

9. Has experience in working with big data

10. Technical writing experience in relevant areas, including queries, reports, and presentations

Programming Languages and Software Knowledge Required:

1. Python

2. R

3. SAS

4. Tableau

5. Alteryx

6. Data Visualization Tools such as Tableau and PowerBI

7. Data Analysis tools such as Alteryx
