Our client is an international award-winning architecture and interior fit out consultancy and contractor.

We are recruiting an Arabic-speaking senior accountant to join their Dubai team.

The role is responsible for the day-to-day accounting and project finance for all interior fit out projects.

Role Summary

Financial reporting and analysis- prepare accurate and timely financial statements, reports and forecasts.
Financial accounting - monthly and annual closings; reconcile accounts payable and receivables; ensure timely bank payments; prepare VAT returns; compile balance sheets and P&L statements.
Manage budgets and report on variance vs actuals.
Compliance – ensure compliance with all UAE corporate tax and VAT regulations.
Cash management – manage cash flow to optimize liquidity.
Payroll – prepare payroll and process through WPS.
Manage bank relationships.
Internal financial controls – establish financial controls and ensure and ensure all procurement and finance procedures are adhered to.

Mandatory Skills & Experience

7 – 10 years’ accounting and finance experience; minimum 3 years’ UAE accounting and finance experience in the construction, architecture or interior fit out industry.
Experience of project finance is a strong advantage.
Deep expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and UAE tax / VAT regulations.
UAE driving license is mandatory.

Education

Candidate Profile

Currently living in the United Arab Emirates – must be able to live and work in Dubai.
Fluent in English and Arabic.
Excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills.
