Our client is global premium dry foods principal and as part of their growth in the MENA region, we are recruiting a UAE experienced trade marketing manager with distributor management experience from the dry foods / FMCG sector for a newly created role based in Dubai.
The successful candidate will be accountable for working with regional distributors in the MENA region to develop local market category strategies, route to market and annual brand marketing plans based on consumer and competitor insights and market trends.
Role Summary
Collaborate extensively with distributors to accelerate brand awareness, market share, volume sales, revenue and profitability growth.
Develop route to market strategies and distributor relationships to achieve annual volume sales and gross margin targets.
Lead country specific distribution, pricing and product launch strategies.
Conduct distributor business reviews - category review process from concept and implementation through to post review execution analysis, including Product Fixed Marketing Expense (PFME).
Create compelling campaigns and materials for NPD launches to maximize customer engagement and volume sales.
Work with distributors to develop, implement and manage local market activations, brand positioning and communication to drive consumer engagement and market share growth.
Develop local market planograms, merchandising guidelines and Point of Sale materials.
Collaborate with sales and finance for P&L, pricing, marketing and sales performance.
Train all distributor sales teams to increase volume and revenue sales.
Conduct regular market analysis to provide meaningful data to enhance business performance and provide pre and post promotional trade spending ROI analysis.
Monthly forecasting, reporting and analysis and benchmark customer performance against 4P targets.
Mandatory Skills & Experience
10 years trade marketing, brand and category management with a principal or distributor in Agri commodities, dry or frozen foods, rice, pulses, grains or meat.
4+ years’ demonstrable UAE / GCC experience in developing and implementing effective trade marketing strategies and tactical plans in a distributor management and retail environments in the FMCG or food sectors.
Proven track record in leading brand growth focusing on product forecasting, volume, pricing, variable cost, ROI, gross margins, sell-in and sell-out and 4P analysis.
Demonstrable experience of developing PoS and brand marketing materials for new product launches, promotions and conducting post campaign evaluations.
Strong commercial and financial acumen to develop annual budgets, manage P&L, conduct business review meetings and carry out market and competitor analysis.
Data analysis of market, consumer and shopper insights using Nielsen IQ Spaceman and Nielsen Answers on Demand
Strong experience in planning, design, implementation and managing new product launches.
Strong commercial and business acumen with robust performance analytics and Excel skills (Pivot and Power BI) to accurately forecast volume and revenue sales.
UAE driving license is mandatory.
