Manage Lump Sum Turnkey EPC/EPCI and Shutdowns (Engineer Procure Construct, or Engineer Procure Fabricate and Install) Projects
EPFC Phase- Responsible for all matters pertaining to the project and project execution in accordance with the contract and the project’s HSE, project security, quality, schedule, and financial goals
Accountable to Operations Manager management and the client for Client team performance
Front all newly awarded projects until permanent Project Manager is assigned
Develop newly awarded project deliverables for all stakeholders/departments
Maintain the authority to direct the Project Team within the bounds of policy and engage Senior Management for resolution of project issues and conflicts
May be assigned during the Precontract phase to manage the preparation of the Proposal in coordination with the Commercial team
During the Proposal phase, responsible for oversight of the Estimate preparation, associated support documentation, preparation of Bid and Project execution strategy, and will lead the Risk and Opportunity management program, among other activities
Act as principal representative, responsible for all matters pertaining to the Detailed Design execution effort in accordance with the contract and the project’s HSE, quality, schedule, and financial goals
Hold accountability for the development of Detailed Design Win-it strategy
The Senior Project Manager is principal representative who is responsible for all matters pertaining to ALL Project related matters for the execution effort in accordance with the contract and the project’s HSE, quality, schedule, and financial goals
Requirements
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree, HNC or HND in Engineering
Ability to develop Project’s Execution strategy, Profit Plan, and objectives to ensure efficient and effective implementation, aligned with Policies, overall business strategy, and objectives
Technical competency in the subject matter of the Project to be able to manage the implications of technical challenges and selection of key project team members
Effective and efficient communication skills
Capacity to maintain a working knowledge of the projects as part of overall Project accountability and ensure implementation of required corrective actions
Data analytics focused in support of tracking and trending of all Project Performances
Ability to assist Project Managers in problem-solving and conflict resolution
Ability to provide recommendations to the Operations group in the development of policies and procedures as part of the continuous improvement process
Ability to understand and be able to communicate the link between the Projects and corporate needs
Champion implementation and adherence to Processes, Procedures, and tools for the Projects
Ability to strategies and foresee potential issues
Knowledgeable/insight into work planning, schedule, cost controls, risk management, progress measurement, and forecasting to drive the Projects and its financial performance
Digital transformation focused - Demand organization’s support with digital solutions on the projects as part of innovation, and continuous improvement processes
Understanding of EPC/EPIC and Shutdowns contracts and contracting strategies with the ability to communicate contract requirements to the Project Teams
Ability to empower and empathize with team members
Preferred Qualifications and Education:
EPC/EPIC and Shutdowns 15+ years relevant Oil & Gas experience (Min. 5 years as a Snr PM) and 10+ years as PM relevant Oil & Gas industry experience
Post Graduate Management qualifications are an advantage
