Job Description

Black & Grey HR is recruiting for a global industrial machinery manufacturer and provider of process heating solutions in Dubai, UAE. Our client is looking to hire a Senior Project Manager who will be responsible for the management and leadership of the project department, and project teams, looking over all project performance of schedule, budgeting, issues, and quality.

Responsibilities :

-The basic function of the Senior Project Manager is to direct the performance of an assigned project, manage the project schedule, and monitor the project’s financial performance on a day to day basis.

-Ensure that all projects assigned are processed through the organization maintaining all scheduled dates and equipment quality using sound engineering and business practices

-Monitor all assigned projects’ financial performance and ensure that the projects stay within budget

-Oversee and manage the project department and other resources in the project department

-Develop the project equipment list per the project requirements

-Work closely with the customer during and after the sale to ensure a successful project.

-Make senior decisions on project issues to resolve issues in a timely manor

-Monitor project department employees performance and offer leadership where needed.

-Provide recommendations to Senior Management on requirements to enhance the project departments success and profitability

-Responsible for communicating the financial status of all company projects to senior management on a regular basis.

-Manage and maintain the project schedule utilizing the approved methods and tools used by the company.

-Prepare and lead weekly project status meetings to discuss all aspects of the company’s projects with the other project managers and upper management.

-Maintain and update project status worksheets on a weekly basis

-Develop and coordinates project schedules with engineering, design, manufacturing, and vendors.

-Ensure all project invoices are sent on time and payment is received in a timely manner

-Help to maintain the project schedule tracking system

-Coordinates project engineering tasks required on assigned projects

-Develop additional working project management tools for the company as required

-Answer for all budget deviations on assigned projects

-Develop project equipment list and requisition the purchase of all required items for an assigned project.

-Attend weekly project meetings and budget reviews.

-Ensure that the project engineers are using solid engineering judgment and appropriate companys standards when performing engineering tasks on the assigned projects.

-Ensure adherence of projects to applicable international codes and standards

-Follow payment reports for each in house project.

-Coordination of all project drawings to the customer, engineering, and manufacturing.

-Communicate the project schedule with the customer / end user

-Direct project engineers as needed to meet the project schedule, budget, or customer requirements as needed

Requirements

-B.S. Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering from an accredited four year university.

-5 years project engineering or project management

-Advanced communication skills both technically and commercially are required.

-Must be proficient with computers and modern virtual communication methods.

-Must possess strong math skills, and can present, and read financial and engineering reports, charts, and graphs.

-A strong understanding of thermodynamics is required.

-Must have a basic understanding of field monitoring and measuring devices

-Must have the ability to make correct decisions based on engineering, financial, and commercial requirements
