Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Planning Engineer to lead project scheduling, progress monitoring, and delay analysis across our construction projects, including factory and industrial developments. The candidate must have over 8 years of experience in the construction industry and demonstrate advanced proficiency in Primavera P6, AutoCAD, MS Excel, and MS Project.

This role involves supporting both pre-contract and post-contract phases—building baseline schedules, performing forensic schedule analysis, and preparing high-quality progress reports and dashboards. The Planning Engineer will work closely with project managers, site teams, and commercial departments, and must be able to present findings clearly to management and clients.

Key Responsibilities

Project Scheduling & Control

• Develop and manage detailed baseline schedules (Level 1 to 4) using Primavera P6 and MS Project.
  
• Define WBS, critical paths, and resource-loaded timelines.
  
• Implement and monitor performance metrics including SPI, CPI, and Earned Value Management (EVM).
  
• Conduct scenario analyses and update schedules based on actual vs. planned progress.
  

Delay Analysis & Claims Support

• Perform forensic delay analysis (Time Impact Analysis, Windows, As-Planned vs. As-Built).
  
• Identify and classify delays (excusable, compensable, concurrent).
  
• Prepare robust Extension of Time (EOT) claims with all supporting documentation.
  
• Collaborate with contracts and commercial teams to validate claims.
  

 Change & Risk Management

• Analyze schedule impact from change orders and variations.
  
• Propose and implement mitigation/recovery strategies.
  
• Maintain a risk register and integrate risk responses into project schedules.
  

Reporting & Stakeholder Coordination

• Prepare and present weekly/monthly progress reports, dashboards, and S-curves for internal and external stakeholders.
  
• Create professional presentation materials for management and client updates.
  
• Advise project teams on acceleration strategies (fast-tracking, crashing).
  
• Participate in coordination meetings with consultants, contractors, and client representatives.
  
• Report schedule impacts and updates directly to the Project/Planning Manager.
  

 Tender & Bidding Support

• Develop preliminary schedules for tender submissions and pre-contract planning.
  
• Assess and communicate time-related risks to estimating and commercial teams.
  
• Assist in the development of program strategies during the tendering phase.
