Our client is an investments group that consolidates various Real Estate and Hospitality Assets based in the United Arab Emirates.The group also has strategic investments in businesses and entities across the MENA region, Europe, and the Americas.
Responsibilities:
The candidate will have an explicit role of working closely with the CIO and participating as a senior member of the Investment team in all stages of investment activities across various asset classes including Public Equities, Private deals (equities, credits, real estate, vc, hedge funds, etc.), and fixed income.
Major responsibilities include research, manager selection, stock selection, country/sector/factor allocation, portfolio construction/rebalancing, trading, performance attribution, monitoring and investment risks assessment, and quarterly board presentations
Oversee investment strategy/policy and assist in stock/product selection and manager selection
Regularly discuss investment ideas within the investment team and conduct in-depth research on economies, sectors, industries, stocks, and/or products
Provide comprehensive portfolio analysis of each asset class, performance attribution/contribution, cash flow analysis, and recommend rebalancing ideas
Source, diligence, structure, and execute private fund investment opportunities
Actively engage with CIO and IC to discuss overall investment performance/review, outlook, strategy, and specific deals on pipeline
Maintain all the financial information of a portfolio and its holdings up-to-date by aligning with the finance team
Networking and liaising with relevant parties including investment banks, fund managers, service providers, and other family offices/buy-side investors
Prepare board and shareholder-related materials with regards to the company’s investment division every quarter
Requirements
Knowledge & Skills:
Education Minimum: Graduate from a well-recognized University.
Desired: Preferred to have Masterss degree and/or professional qualifications – CFA / CAIA / FRM / MBA (Finance)
Experience: At least 5-7 years in global markets research, investment analysis, and portfolio management with a desirable
background from a buy-side institutions
Other: Knowledge of Bloomberg and related financial tools, Excellent communication, presentation & report writing skills in PPT, Excel, Word, etc.
