Job Description

The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for tracking and reporting company’s financial performance against a determined financial strategic plan. The role holder will analyze the company’s performance, create forecasts, and help senior management make tactical and strategic decisions. The role encompasses working with different departments within the company and requesting data on the operating budget as well as KPI’s to prepare and share periodic reports with the management. The role holder is responsible for the preparation of the reports and submissions to managements and external stakeholders in relation of the company’s financial information.

 

·         Assists the Budget & Financial Reporting Unit Head on the budget strategy and planning while developing the company’s financial plans and preparing the forecasts for financial performance.
·         Contributes to Budget and Financial Reporting unit goals, methods, policies and procedures for implementing programs in alignment with the company’s strategic vision, mission, and goals.
·         Supports in reviewing the purchase requisitions raised by departments to ensure validity and accuracy of the requests.
·         Supports on annual budget preparation process and prepares budget submission proposal for management review and approval.
·         Evaluates the financial performance of the company by comparing the current actual results with the plans and forecasts.
·         Tracks departments spending and progress of the company Key Performance Indicators to keep records of budget and achievement of departmental performance indicators.
·         Analyzes monthly performance reports and obtains required justifications for the variances.
·         Develops management accounts reports and provides financial and economic analysis.
·         Provides management with periodical KPI reports related to the performance of the department.
·         Prepares financial standards and ADHOC reports for internal and external stakeholders.


Requirements

  • 4-5 years of experience in finance or accounting department in a medium to large organization
  • Experience in budget preparation and analysis in addition to knowledge of Financial Key Performance Indicators (KPI)
  • Understanding of financial modeling
  • Strong analytical and data gathering skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Fluency in Arabic and English (French is preferred)
  • Must have a bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting
  • Preferred to have Masters (in above) Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CA, CIMA or MBA
