Job Description

Black & Grey HR is recruiting for a Plastic Raw Material manufacturer in the UAE. Our client is looking for a dynamic and experienced Purchase Manager to join their team in the plastic and metal recycling industry. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in expanding the network of suppliers and strengthening relationships with existing clients. This position requires a minimum of 2-5 years of prior experience in plastic and metal scrap sourcing, a proven track record of successful scrap procurement, and an established network of clients within the recycling industry.

Key Responsibilities:

On-Field Scrap Sourcing:

- Conduct regular visits to potential suppliers to identify new sources for plastic and metal scraps.

- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the supply chain.

Client Relationship Management:

- Manage and strengthen relationships with existing clients to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns.

- Collaborate with clients to understand their evolving needs and provide effective solutions.

Market Research:

- Stay updated on industry trends, pricing, and competitor activities to inform sourcing strategies.

- Analyze market conditions and adjust sourcing strategies accordingly.

Negotiation and Procurement:

- Negotiate favorable terms with suppliers to ensure cost-effectiveness and adherence to quality standards.

- Collaborate with internal teams to optimize procurement processes.

Compliance:

- Ensure strict adherence to all relevant regulations and environmental standards in the sourcing process.

- Stay informed about changes in regulations and implement necessary adjustments to sourcing practices.

Reporting:

- Provide regular reports on sourcing activities, market trends, and supplier performance.

- Utilize data to make informed decisions and continually improve the sourcing process.

Requirements

Qualifications and Experience:

- Minimum 2-5 years of experience in plastic and metal scrap sourcing.

- Proven track record of successfully identifying and securing new sources.

- Established a network of clients in the recycling industry.

- Strong negotiation and communication skills.

- Knowledge of environmental regulations and industry best practices.

- Ability to work independently and thrive in a field-based role.
