Job Description

Our client is well-established commercial and residential interior fit out, joinery, landscaping and civil works contracting company and we are recruiting a UAE experience procurement engineer from the MEP contracting industry.

The successful candidate will be responsible for all procurement activities related to materials, equipment and services to optimize cost, quality, speed, availability and delivery times.

Role Summary

Source and procure items for landscaping, joinery, interior fit out and civil works.
Source and qualify suppliers for materials and services; maintain a database of approved local and overseas suppliers.
Negotiate commercial terms with suppliers.
Request for quotes and tenders; evaluate quotations to ensure that all technical specifications are met.
Issue purchase orders and track orders; communicate shortages and delays to the project managers.
Prepare quotations based on BoQ;
Manage supplier performance to assess and improve quality, cost, availability and delivery time.
Carry out stock audits, manage stock levels and proactively ensure materials are in stock.
Check supplier invoices, receipts and maintain accurate records.

Mandatory Skills & Experience

7 - 10 years’ UAE sourcing and procurement experience in turnkey interior fit out, joinery, FF&E, lighting, landscaping and civil works.
Strong commercial, financial and negotiation skills with experience of price analysis, mitigating risks and delivering annual savings.
Proficient use of Excel.
UAE driving license is mandatory.
