Job Description

One of the leading and renowned clients who are diversified in Civil Construction, Energy, and Oil and gas is currently looking for a Pavement Engineer for the Dubai location.

In this role, your responsibilities would include but not limited to:

- Identifying the various distresses, analysis, assessing their severity and measurement, causes of failures, maintenance needs/rehabilitation strategies, specifications, and construction methods for all phases of the work of maintenance project, preparing reports, determining the priority, estimating cost, forecasting maintenance budget, setting short and long-term maintenance plan based on deterioration and life cycle cost.

- Evaluate Pavement condition using different indices such as Pavement Condition Index, Pavement Condition Rating, or Pavement Quality Index using various pavement performance attributes such as different distress, Riding Quality (IRI), or Crack Index (CI).

- Identify Distress type, severity, and quantity.

- Calculate the Pavement Condition Index (PCI) and other indices.

- identifying different pavement layers & and thicknesses using Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR).

- Other responsibilities:

Prepare scope of work for pavement condition survey, Validation of condition survey data, Follow up uploading collected data to database, Prepare work orders,
Identify required sections that need visual inspection and produce reports, Coordination with the Client to submit reports regarding the validity of collected data, Bi-weekly reports, etc.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following requirements:

5 + years of relevant Experience
Identifying the various distresses, analysis, assessing their severity and measurement, causes of failures, maintenance needs/rehabilitation strategies,
Have experience of operating ROMDAS Dataview software to perform the AC distress rating by using video images or LCMS Images.
Evaluation of pavement condition using different indices such as Pavement Condition Index, Pavement Condition Rating, or Pavement Quality Index

Qualifications

B.Sc. in Civil Engineering
