Job Description

Black & Grey HR is hiring for one of the leading distributors for global elevator and escalator brands in Qatar. Our client is looking for an experienced Operations Manager who will be responsible for managing the Operations of the Elevator Department, including Sales Department, administering the activities of the Department, including Technical, Administrative, and Commercial activities.


- Responsible for Recruiting, Training, and maintaining adequate and appropriate Manpower, Generating Revenue, and overall Cost Control.

- To learn understand and advocate all activities of the Company in its entirety.

- To oversee the execution of Projects to achieve optimum Quality as well as profitability.

- To establish the safest execution procedures. Shall have the capability to plan and monitor the projects with latest software tools.

- To be able to conduct Contract administration successfully in favour of the Company. 

- Supervise, and assist the team to satisfy all demands, requests and requirements from the Clients in a timely manner.

- Should be well versed in Contract Negotiation and Claims Management, Tender Procedures, Insurance Formalities, Quality Control Norms, Safety Requirements, Man Management etc.  

- Organize, maintain and administer Office and Project Documentations efficiently and appropriately.  

- Attending Project Meeting, resolving day today issues in office as well as at site, monitoring and negotiating procurements, liaising with Suppliers, submitting Reports etc. are some of the major responsibilities to be undertaken.

- P&L reports, Variance Report etc. are included in the Job Responsibilities.

- Renewal of Contracts, preparing tender documents, submitting tender, bringing new jobs, secure maintenance of all brands of elevators in the market, maintaining cash flows, profitability, ensuring timely payment from the clients, preparing and maintaining yearly budgets, etc.

- Timely renewal of Contracts, Insurances, Governmental Licenses, Vehicle Licenses etc. are also included in the responsibilities of the Operation Manager.



Requirements

- Proven track record of success: 10+ years’ Gulf experience in Vertical Transportation, especially Elevator Technology / Conveying System / Engineering. 
- Ability to manage large team of high profile Conveying Systems professionals and international elevator manufacturers. 
- Masters degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronics or relevant industry experience. 
- Finance management experience with P&L statements, budget preparation, and strategic capital planning.
- Experience leading and managing sales force, maintenance engineers, and operations personnel
- Excellent communication skills
