The role
Balich Wonder Studio is looking for an Operation Director in our Production department in the AlUla Unit to be part of the AlUla Season 2023/2024 from September 2023 to April 2024.
The Operation Director is responsible for overseeing the operational aspects of event production from planning to execution. The resource will be accountable for managing budgets, logistics, and personnel, ensuring that events are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
Key responsibilities:
• The Operations Director for Event Production will work closely with the Production and Project Management teams, to ensure that all events meet or exceed expectations
• Manage and supervise event production staff, vendors, and contractors to ensure that all aspects of event production and event operations are executed flawlessly
• Coordinate with event team and clients to understand their vision and goals for the event and ensure all expectations are met
• Alongside Procurement, work on sourcing and managing event vendors, including
• Venue, Construction, Catering, Tech, AV, Power, and Production companies
• Oversee the installation, setup, and teardown of event equipment and ensure that all safety protocols are followed
• Manage and maintain event inventory, including equipment and supplies
• Develop and implement processes and procedures to ensure consistent and high-quality event production
• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies
• Provide regular reporting to senior management on event production status, budget, and KPIs
• Participate in cross-functional teams to improve production and ops processes
• Industry knowledge: keeping up-to-date with industry trends and developments
Requirements
• Ten plus years within Production, Business Administration or Manufacturing
• Event experience in the Middle East will be considered a plus
• Proven track record of successful event planning and execution
• Experience in managing supplier relationships and conducting supplier reviews
• Excellent project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong leadership and management skills, with experience managing teams
• Strong work ethic and willing to work long and unsocial hours as necessary
• A bachelors degree in Business Admin, Event Management, or related field
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Strong computer skills, including MSOffice and production management software
• Although the position is based in Al Ula, the ability to travel with short notice is a must
• Arabic Speaker is a Plus
