Job Description

Westlakes Recruit are currently recruiting for a Nuclear Financial Consultant to be engaged on a permanent basis in Saudi Arabia.

Job Overview:

Advising and supporting the development of the funding and financing plan/model for the Saudi Nuclear Power Project and provide insight in all financial/economics aspects related to nuclear power, this also includes playing a key role in negotiating with the vendors, partners and financiers regarding the best financial/funding model for the project resulting of lower cost and higher returns and any financing agreements for this project.

Responsibilities:

• Develop short and long-terms financing and funding plan for the Saudi Nuclear Project, capital structure and attract investors and lenders to the project

• Identify and assess the financial risks arising from contracts for the supply and construction of nuclear power plants

• Evaluation of commercial bids from cost and funding prospectives and support in the selection of suppliers of nuclear plant technology, review and validate financing conditions and cost estimates of nuclear power plant

• Support the development of economic feasibility studies and financial and economic analysis to build nuclear power plants

• Participate in financial negotiation processes with nuclear plant technology suppliers

• Preparing business models and financial models for projects and investment requirements

• Support all financial consultancy aspects

• Supporting capital/debt participation negotiations

• securing export credit agency (ECA) and other debt financing for the project

• negotiating other financial agreements related to the project. In addition, the consultant will review funding options, economic valuation, cost improvement, and financial modelling support

• The consultant provides all required assistance in relation to the project feasibility with all stakeholders

• The financial advisor must perform the required work in developing, negotiating and evaluating the financing options for the construction of the first nuclear power plant in the Kingdom in accordance with international best practices and standards, working with our client, technical, financial and legal consultants and project management specialists throughout the project

• Participate and support the discussions related to the offtake arrangements such as the PPA and other related commercial arrangements related to selling the electricity

• Validate the Financial Advisor deliverables and recommendations

Ideal Qualifications:

Minimum: Bachelor Degree in finance/accounting/business from a recognized university

Preferred: Postgraduate degree in finance or MBA

Minimum: 15-20 years in the finance specially nuclear power industry supporting of the funding and construction of nuclear power plants

Preferred: 10-15 years in developing and reviewing financial models and funding plans for nuclear power plants

• Strong ability to utilize financial models and other financial spreadsheet models

• Experience working at financial consultancy/institutions or owners nuclear power projects is a plus
