Job Description

• Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on bakery machinery and equipment, including fridges, ovens, dough mixers, and other bakery-specific machines, ensuring optimal performance and minimizing downtime.
  

• Conduct routine inspections and diagnostics of bakery equipment to identify potential issues or malfunctions. Utilize technical knowledge and specialized tools to diagnose problems accurately and implement appropriate solutions.
  

• Execute scheduled maintenance tasks, such as lubrication, calibration, and parts replacement, in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and equipment specifications. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and food hygiene standards during maintenance activities.
  

• Respond to breakdowns and equipment failures on time, minimizing disruption to bakery operations. Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults, and take corrective actions to restore equipment functionality.
  

• Maintain an inventory of spare parts, tools, and supplies necessary for equipment maintenance and repairs. Coordinate with procurement to ensure the availability of required components and minimize downtime.
  

• Collaborate with bakery production and operations teams to develop and implement equipment maintenance schedules and protocols. Provide guidance and training to operators on proper equipment usage and maintenance practices.
  

• Monitor equipment performance metrics, such as energy consumption, temperature control, and cycle times, to optimize efficiency and reduce operating costs. Analyze data and provide recommendations for process improvements and equipment upgrades.
  

• Document maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs, and parts replacements, accurately and comprehensively. Maintain maintenance logs and records to facilitate tracking, analysis, and reporting of equipment performance.
  

• Stay updated with technological advancements and industry best practices related to bakery machinery and equipment. Participate in training programs and professional development activities to enhance technical skills and knowledge.
  

• Adhere to safety protocols and regulations, including lockout/tag-out procedures, electrical safety, and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements. Promote a culture of safety awareness among the bakery staff and actively contribute to maintaining a safe working environment.
