Job Title: Math Teacher

Job Overview:

We are looking for a qualified Math Teacher to join a well-respected school in Al Ain, UAE. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching high-quality Math lessons to students in Cycle 2 and Cycle 3, ensuring the curriculum is adhered to and educational standards are met. This is a temporary position, with the possibility of extension based on the school's needs.

Qualifications and Experience:

Education:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field.
  
• A recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent) is preferred.
  
• ADEK Appointment letter is required.
  
• IELTS 7.0 Band minimum.
  

Experience:

• At least 3-5 years of experience teaching Math at the middle and secondary school levels (Grades 6-12).
  
• Experience teaching in the UAE or GCC region is an advantage but not essential.
  

Skills:

• Strong knowledge of the Mathematics curriculum.
  
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  
• Strong ability to plan, organize, and deliver engaging Math lessons.
  
• Proficiency in using digital tools for teaching and assessments.
  
• Effective classroom management skills to maintain a productive and respectful learning environment.
  

Key Responsibilities:

Lesson Planning and Delivery:

• Design and deliver interactive and engaging Math lessons, covering topics such as Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, and Calculus.
  
• Utilize a variety of teaching methods, including group discussions, multimedia resources, and real-life applications to aid student understanding.
  
• Tailor lessons to meet diverse learning styles and ensure all students are engaged and challenged.
  

Assessment and Feedback:

• Regularly assess student progress through assignments, quizzes, and exams.
  
• Provide constructive and timely feedback to guide students' academic growth.
  
• Prepare and grade report cards, clearly communicating student progress and areas for improvement.
  
• Participate in parent-teacher meetings to discuss student performance and address any concerns.
  

Classroom Management:

• Foster a positive, respectful classroom environment that promotes curiosity and active learning.
  
• Enforce the school’s behavior management policies.
  
• Create an inclusive classroom where students feel confident to express themselves and engage in the learning process.
  

Curriculum Support:

• Follow and deliver the school’s Math curriculum while adjusting lesson plans to meet individual student needs.
  
• Offer additional support for students who may need extra help, including one-on-one tutoring or after-school assistance.
  
• Encourage the development of critical thinking, problem-solving, and mathematical reasoning.
  

Collaboration:

• Collaborate with other members of the Math Department and school staff to ensure effective curriculum delivery.
  
• Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for continuous improvement of teaching methods.
  
• Share best practices and teaching resources with colleagues to improve the overall educational experience.
