Job Description

· Our client an e-commerce organization in consumer services, is looking for a Managing Director.

Responsibilities will include

Taking full ownership of the platform P&L.
Ability to successfully lead and manage a cross-functional team.
Device overall corporate strategy and playbook to prepare the organization for the next phase of growth.
Develop and lead growth strategy with a focus on increasing vendor base and overall CX acquisition and retention. While identifying new categories and geographies for expansion.
Oversight of company operations to ensure smooth flow of products and processes for optimum business efficiency.
Actively lead and liaise Sales and Marketing teams to develop brand partnerships.

Requirements

To qualify for this role, you should have the following:

Overall, 7-8 years of work experience within a fast-paced e-commerce marketplace. Preferably with services or grocerie field experience, with exposure to strategy and leadership roles across sales and marketing, strategy, and/or operations functions.
Experience in leading and working across sales functions whilst taking responsibility for creating and achieving supply projections.
Previous experience in developing strategic marketing initiatives and partnerships to grow the reach of the platform
Experience in leading and managing a high performing team to execute the strategic expansion plan of the organization
Must have a proven track record of increasing user acquisition, penetration, and retention across either the groceries and services vertical.
Previous experience in setting up a new vertical and/or geography for a company within the D2C eCommerce marketplace.
Experience in demand planning to ensure the vendor partnership and marketing teams work in tandem to achieve the best results.
In-depth operational knowledge on supply churn and utilization rates to control costs and the ability to identify products and processes which can be further improved upon to rebuild the playbook for the company.
Good understanding of customer and vendor relationships to develop SOPs for smooth and efficient vendor training and on-boarding as well as customer support.
