Reporting to the Legal Director, our client, a subsidiary of a well-established Property Management company is looking to hire a Legal Associate (Manager) to be based at their office in Abu Dhabi.
Job Purpose:
Supports the legal team in handling their daily tasks
Schedule, prepare documentation for meetings and take the minutes of meetings
Review and draft lease agreements
Provide legal advice on risks arising under contracts
Roles, Responsibilities and Duties:
Support in reviewing and drafting all contracts and legal documents (sales, development management including strata/OA, leasing, facilities management agreements, supply/service agreements, property management agreements, development agreements, consultancy agreements, amendment agreements, assignment agreements, settlement agreements, confidentiality agreements, MOU’s, LOI’s, general real estate and general commercial and other related agreements)
Support in providing advice on the interpretation and application of contractual and statutory provisions in order to implement and enforce legal contracts or assist in devising strategies for negotiations and legal issues
Litigation case management to include liaising between external counsel and Legal Department, to enforce defaulted contracts
Liaising with different business units in support of achieving the Company’s objectives
Support in ensuring proper compliance with applicable laws and regulations
Support in preparing policies on matters affecting the Development business unit, such as data protection, AML, KYC
Supporting in reviewing and developing all template contracts relating to sales, development management including strata/OA
Assist with the adherence to statutory requirements, such as successful implementation of the Real Estate Law and the executive regulations Provide advice on a variety of matters, not necessarily confined to real estate
Support on matters for other members of the Legal Department
Receive, organize and follow up on the inquiries received/requested by the Department
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Arabic and English Languages
Comfortable handling large work load under time constraints
Good knowledge of law and legal systems in the UAE
Strong organizational skills
Experienced with electronic document management and filing systems
Superior research and interpersonal skills
Works well with different personality types
High level of discretion with confidential matters
