Our client is a well-reputed furniture supplier to the hospitality industry and we are recruiting an experienced joinery supervisor to join their Dubai operations.
The joinery production manager will be responsible for the cost effective and efficient production of all furniture joinery items – furniture - focusing on quality service delivery timescales and cost.
Role Summary
Work with the sales and design teams to produce production plans and schedules and ensure that all requirements are ready for installation.
Hire, train and manage a team of carpenters, ironmongers, fabricators, painters and polishers.
Participate in kickoff meetings, issue production orders for manufacturing
Ensure that all materials are procured at cost effective prices whilst maintaining the quality required.
Ensure all aspects of health and safety are adhered to maintain a safe workplace.
Ensure the proper maintenance of all production machinery and equipment in the production factory.
Improve efficiency to reduce production time, lower production costs and eliminate waste of materials whilst maintaining quality specifications.
Mandatory Skills & Experience
7 – 10 years’ experience in interior fit out and joinery production management, preferably gained in the UAE, with proven ability in effectively managing a production team.
Hands on experience using modern day construction management for metal, aluminum, wood, synthetic rattan and polypropylene furniture.
Keen eye for natural woods, metals and veneers used in furniture manufacturing.
Ability to read AutoCAD or computerized drawings.
Candidate Profile
Currently living in the United Arab Emirates – must be able to live and work in Dubai.
Good command of English.
Strong management experience.
Education
Diploma in Architecture, Interior Design, Construction, Mechanical Engineering
