Job Description

Hydraulic Technician - Offshore

Working Hours: 12 hrs. per day & 60/30 Rotation

• Rotational air ticket during scheduled field break

• Food, Housing & Transport – Company Provided.

• Premium health Insurance

Duties:

• Check, service, repair and maintain all equipment.

• Inspect and assess the hydraulic systems to determine the requirements for refurbishment, replacement, or repair.

• Repair or replace defective and/or worn parts and components.

• Attend daily site briefings.

• Generate accurate Engineer Inspection reports of assets and equipment.

• Log and report information in the maintenance job sheets.

Provide technical advice and assistance to all departments:

• Liaise with Engineering Department to obtain necessary information to assist and build new equipment as required.

• Liaise with other departments to promote suitable improvements to the process, assets, and equipment.

• Instruct site based operational staff on the correct use and operation of an asset.

• Source information from third party representatives as necessary

HSEQ – ensure maintenance requirements are fully understood by:

• Following all HSE procedures

• Addressing any concerns and taking appropriate actions in conjunction with TWMA procedures

• Attending monthly safety meetings with HSEQ personnel

Out of Hours Maintenance/Process Support Assistance:

• Provide back-up assistance to other Maintenance personnel by mobile phone as required.

• Offshore/Oversees Process Support – supporting offshore operations:

• Travelling offshore to check, service & repair equipment as required.

• Be prepared to undertake medicals, vaccinations and training as required for offshore travel.

Requirements

Candidates must be locally available

Qualification(s) & Training (E – Essential / P – Preferred):

• Higher National Certificate/ Diploma Level or equivalent technical qualification in related field (E)

• Basic Offshore Survival Induction & Emergency Training (BOSIET) (P)

Experience(s) (E – Essential / P – Preferred):

• Minimum 3 or more years of total work experience in relevant field (E)

• Servicing & maintaining hydraulic and mechanical equipment/machinery (E)

• Preventive, predictive and corrective mechanical maintenance (E)

• Ability to work well with staff at all Nationalities and levels (E)

• Maintenance and overhauling of Centrifugal Pumps. (Single stage & multistage) (P)

• Designing and building hydraulic circuitry (P)

• Working with process equipment / heavy plant machinery (P)

• Working within the oil & gas or energy industries (P)

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Competencies (E – Essential / P – Preferred):

• Ability to work to a high standard at all times (E)

• Ability to develop and follow Maintenance Instructions (E)

• Excellent reading, written and verbal communication skills in English (E)

• Adaptable, flexible, and positive attitude towards change (E)

• Good team player with the ability to work on own initiative (E)

• An eye for detail and ability to present information effectively in a precise and appropriate format. (E)

• Dedicated to promoting a positive image of the company (E)

• Competent in applying defined systems of work (P)

• Basic knowledge in MS office tools especially MS word and MS Excel (P)
