Human Resources Manager - Engineering and Construction Firm

Position Summary: Our esteemed client is a leading Engineering and Construction firm based in Abu Dhabi, specializing in providing tailored Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) solutions for the Oil & Gas and Energy Sectors.  We are seeking an enthusiastic and diligent professional to join the team as Human Resources Manager. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in implementing internal HR systems and procedures, contributing to the overall organizational development.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, maintain, and update comprehensive HR policies and procedures, aligning them with current local and international laws, company requirements, and future trends.
  •  Supervise and administer Job Analysis and Job Evaluation programs, ensuring up-to-date job descriptions integrated with the companys competency frameworks.
  • Design and administer compensation & benefits programs, evaluate compensation schemes, and establish guidelines and recommendations.
  • Oversee surveys and salary analysis, ensuring competitive salary scales in compliance with industry norms and local regulations.
  •  Manage the monthly payroll administration, evaluate HRMS packages, and recommend means to enhance efficiency and eliminate errors.
  •  Lead the Performance Management System, linking appraisal results to established reward schemes and establishing a seamless linkage with organizational development systems.
  •  Supervise employment formalities, engagement processes, and timely administration of induction programs for new employees.
  • Administer grievance/discipline procedures and employee relations, investigating and resolving complex HR issues related to disputes and grievances.
  • Superintend company welfare initiatives, developing and implementing recognition and retention schemes, and conducting audits to support development and change decisions.
    Investigate employee motivation and job satisfaction concerns, implementing effective motivation strategies, and overseeing the development of monthly MIS reports.
  • Draft and implement expatriate and local employment contracts, ensuring compliance with company standards and applicable laws.
  • Manage the Emiratization process, ensuring recruitment and development of Emirati nationals in line with annual targets.
  • Administer the employee records management system, overseeing the maintenance of employee information in the personnel database and files.
  •  Supervise the day-to-day activities of the Employee Relations and Compensation staff, managing, developing, and motivating the HR Team to achieve departmental and individual KRA’s and KPI’s.

 

Key Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or Commerce, accompanied by pertinent certifications in HR, or a substantial combination of experience and education in Human Resources, enhanced by relevant certifications.
  • 10+ years of experience as a Mid/Senior HR Officer with ambitions and willingness to take the next career step or already holding a position as an HR Manager preferably 5+ years of experience in a large EPC Company.
  • Strong mediation and negotiation skills, with a demonstrated ability to handle complex HR issues, disputes, and grievances.
  •  Energetic and hard-working individual with a proactive approach to HR management, ensuring a positive and dynamic work environment.
  • Previous experience working in the Middle East would be advantageous.
