Job Description

We are currently hiring for the position of HSE Manager on behalf of our client, a leading Contractor in Saudi Arabia and will be ideally working on building projects across KSA.

Main Responsibilities to include:

Take all decisions relating to the health, safety & environment. Interact with the other in the site and cause to create health and safety and environmental consciousness
To raise non-compliance report for any deviations in health, safety and environment rules and regulation
Establishes and maintains all safety and health record-keeping systems
Report directly to the Project Director
Provide safety information and guidance to HSE Engineer on proper procedures, current and potential hazards and employee training requirements Revises the site HSE plan to incorporate new procedures and these implemented to address new problem areas
Conduct investigations of all lost-time accidents analyses and significant first aid cases, near-misses, and/or damage to property or equipment. Analyses and completes Incident, Investigation Report and reports any serious injury to the company Project Director
Assist Project Director in conducting regular, bi-weekly safety committee meetings. Prepare minutes and circulates to supervisors on site.
Review all subcontractors safety program for compliance with companys policies and company’s safety instructions
Write monthly reports, report safety statistics and analyses, as well as actions taken to correct safety problems
Supervises medical facilities, medical records setup and retention, and set up procedures and training for emergencies, including serious accidents, fire, evacuation, etc
Surveys project purchase order for hazardous substances, maintains MSDS, monitor employee exposure to toxic substances

Requirements

Degree in Environmental Health & Safety / Engineering or similar discipline
Minimum 8 - 10 years experience with at least 5 - 6 in the GCC working on building projects
Specialized training would be an added advantage
Health, Safety & Environment Management Area of experience
Knowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental rules and regulations in Saudi Arabia
