About the Role

On behalf of a reputable school in Al Ain, Abu Dhabi, we are seeking a passionate and committed Head of Science Department (HOD) to join their academic team. This opportunity is ideal for educators with strong communication skills and a dedication to delivering impactful language instruction. Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage the Science Department, promoting innovative and effective teaching practices.
Design and implement science curricula in alignment with ADEK standards and school objectives.
Provide mentorship and professional development to science teachers across various disciplines (Biology, Chemistry, Physics).
Evaluate and monitor student performance and departmental goals.
Collaborate with school leadership on academic planning, policies, and compliance reporting.
Encourage a culture of inquiry, collaboration, and continuous improvement among staff.
Organize department meetings, workshops, and contribute to school-wide strategic initiatives.

Requirements

Fluent in Arabic with strong English communication skills
ADEK-recognized teaching certification is mandatory
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics) or related field
Previous experience as a Science Teacher with proven leadership or coordination background
Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
Strong interpersonal and leadership capabilities
Nationality: Arab
