Job Description

Our client, a well-established multi-national firm is hiring for the position of Head of Operations for the Dubai based office. The role is open to candidates accross the globe looking to relocate to the UAE. The ideal candidate will have experience within a production set-up, technical, supply chain and production direction for the company. 

Within this role, you will be expected to oversee core operations of the business, budgets, project delivery and business strategy for operational requirements.

Main Responsibilities:

With a main focus in production set-up, supply chain and warehousing and technical operations, you will be required to:
  • Recruit/train and develop the operations division
  • Carry our annual appraisals, create a strong succession pipeline while ensuring development plans are in place
  • Develop policies and procedures and cover key areas of lean activities 
  • Stay up-to-date on market trends and competitors
  • Determine ways and means to drive cost efficiencies (tangible) and bring about overall reduction on the cost of production. Ensure appropriate use of costing systems, data and analysis
  • Regularly present a range of financial/non-financial reports for the Chairman and Board of Directors as and when required 
  • Establish and maintain effective partnerships with internal support and sales department

  • In depth knowledge of diverse business functions and principles
  • Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics
  • Ability to make decisions and work autonomously
  • Proven track record demonstrating an understanding Business Development and business acumen
  • Capability to develop and drive improvement process from plan to close
  • Budget development in line with company objectives
