Job Description

We are looking for General Manager/Head of Projects for a large reputed global company, one of the largest of its kind engaged in the manufacture and sales of ceramic and gres porcelain wall and floor tiles and sanitaryware in different parts of the world. This is a senior management role and will be based in Riyadh.

As Head of Projects, the successful candidate will lead the evaluation of setting up manufacturing facilities in the Kingdom including determining the scope, specs, and budget for every project.

Simultaneously, he or she will start the process of obtaining regulatory approvals for setting up manufacturing operations in KSA.

Once regulatory approvals are obtained, he will oversee the management of construction projects from initial design, bids, costing, and construction.

Once the plant is commissioned he will have the opportunity to either head operations for the plant or execute other manufacturing projects in other parts of the world.

Requirements

A background in Mechanical engineering
A track record of setting up greenfield manufacturing operations, or plant expansions in the Kingdom
An understanding of the regulatory environment in Saudi Arabia
A demonstrated capability in sourcing raw materials, machinery and equipment manufacturers and utilities providers
Being able to set up a team of plant managers and factory workers once the factory is completed.
