Job Description

Our client is a global financial services trading platform and as part of their accelerated growth, we are recruiting a C-level candidate with international FX products experience to join their UAE operations as a global head of strategy, reporting to the CEO.

With a strong understanding of FX macro markets and derivative structuring, the successful candidate will develop unique customer-centric FX products and services for retail and corporate customers.

The successful candidate will lead the consolidation and redesign of existing products and solutions whilst creating a new portfolio of cross-border solutions to target new customers.

Candidates must have demonstrable capabilities in designing and delivering changes to existing FOREX product, services and operating models to optimize the customer journey and drive incremental revenue.

Role Summary

• Lead the review, analysis, consolidation and enhancement of existing products and services based on customer feedback and revenue to develop propositions and product performance.
  
• Lead the development of market insights’ analysis to identify growth opportunities and structure solutions with a quantitative approach.
  
• Develop models, tools and frameworks to enable the analysis of foreign exchange, hedging and derivatives markets.
  
• Work closely with the product teams to create simple, cost effective and integrated payment solutions for a unified FX customer experience.
  
• Lead the commercial activities to launch new FX solutions.
  
• Analyze industry trends in FX payments, merchant processing, cash and risk management.
  

Mandatory Skills & Experience

• 10 – 15 years’ experience in FOREX, currency markets, FinTech or derivatives with strong commercial and financial acumen to analyze the competitive landscape and identify business growth opportunities and enablers. FX Derivative theory and practical derivative structuring knowledge (vanillas and complex derivatives)
  
• Strong FX pricing experience from pre and post trade and end to end transaction flow.
  
• Deep understanding of local market regulatory requirements including Structural FX (SFX) and Transactional FX (TFX) risks.
  
• Expertise in customer research analysis, new product development and go-to-market strategies and execution.
  
• Capabilities in prioritizing business requirements and shaping delivery roadmaps for new and enhanced solutions.
  
• Ability to drive change and alignment on strategy and roadmap execution across diverse stakeholders and senior leadership teams.
  
• Data driven with a strong understanding of derivatives and drivers of exchange rates, and broader financial markets.
  

Candidate Profile

• Must be able to live and work in the United Arab Emirates without any visa restrictions.
  
• Fluent in English – this is a mandatory requirement.
  
• Entrepreneurial drive to achieve vision and strategies in an innovative and fast-paced environment.
  

Education

• Bachelor’s degree is mandatory.
