Job Description

Our client, a leading Real Estate and Management firm with offices in Dubai and Abu Dhabi is looking to hire for their Abu Dhabi-based office for the position of a General Manager - Retail. This role is open to UAE Nationals only and the candidate will be reporting to the Director - Retail Property Management.

Within this role, you will lead and monitor the portfolios Property and Mall management functions whilst ensuring standardization of practices across assets while at the same level, meeting the annual, financial, customer/tenant satisfaction, and operational targets.

Main Responsibilities to include:

You will be responsible to lead the General Manager and Mall Managers in managing retail assets
Review footfall performance of the portfolio searching for patterns
Constant review of assets improvement opportunities and recommend ways to improve the Asset Management
Ensure critical services, risk, and safety facilities are working at all times
Ensure compliance with evacuation regulations
Ensure exclusion zones are placed around the mall
Approve the budget of common zones asset by asset, forecast, and closing
Run continuous site reviews on a weekly basis to ensure a guests journey is being adequately implemented
Define and standardize discount and debt management processes and monitor the efficient running of the processes
Act as the Organizations representative for a Retail Group with units in several assets
You will be required to coordinate operational activity with a Retail Group and ensure the daily operations of the units are being implemented efficiently
Define and monitor the tenant onboarding process
OVersee fit-out projects to ensure the tenants contractual obligations before handover and and formal handover of the unit are observed
Define standardization of communication with tenants and review realted KPIs on a monthly basis

Requirements

Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Business/Economics (MBA preferred)
Min of 12 + years of experience in Property Management with large retail asset with annual revenue of at least AED 200M
Min 4+ years experience within the role of a manager leading a large retail asset preferably in the GCC
Must have P&L startup experience in retail malls
Strong knowledge and exposure to the GCC real estate market
Must have the ability to liaise and interact effectively with diverse audiences spanning Commercial, Business Development/Strategic Planning functions
