Job Description

Our client is a global freight forwarding organization specializing and we are recruiting a UAE experienced strong hunter business development manager from the contract ocean and air freight forwarding, logistics and cargo industry to join their Jebel Ali team.

 

The successful candidate will be accountable for exceeding sales targets to achieve sustainable sales and revenue growth.

 

Role Summary

  • Achieve sales volume, revenue and profit through territory mapping, sales planning and reporting.
  • Plan and implement short- and long-term sales strategies for acquisition and retention in line with the company’s profitable growth strategy.
  • Prospect, target and close high value business opportunities.
  • Work with the strategy team on pricing to increase market share and profitability.
  • In partnership with the marketing function, establishes strategies to expand the company’s customer base.

Mandatory Skills & Experience

  • 7+ years’ consultative selling and business development experience in freight, transport and logistics in the United Arab Emirates.
  • Proven success record in customer acquisition, growing sales revenue and reviving dormant accounts in a fast paced and competitive environment through account penetration and conversion, sales growth strategies and competitor and market analysis.
  • Mid-level strategic planning experience of selling on quality, relationship and reputation rather than price to lead large, complex new business and sales opportunities.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen for budgeting, sales forecasting, negotiating and closing contracts that generate revenue growth and profitability.
  • Capabilities to develop long term strategies to meet and exceed the company’s revenue target.
  • Proven leadership capabilities in building, managing and developing successful sales teams.
  • UAE driving license in mandatory.

 

Candidate Profile

  • Currently living in the United Arab Emirates.
  • Fluency in English – must be able to read, write and speak fluent English.
  • Strong managerial gravitas and ability to build relationships and teams.
  • Hunter mindset and farmer approach with a strong understanding of modern-day sales. methodologies, outstanding selling capabilities and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Self-starter with the drive and ambition to achieve results.

 

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree is mandatory
