Job Description

Job Summary:

The Finance Manager for our construction company will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of our operations. This includes financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance and accounting, preferably within the construction industry.We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Finance Manager to join our team.The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in a finance role in a UAE construction company.



Key Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Planning and Analysis:
    • Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure the companys financial health.
    • Provide financial analysis and insights to support decision-making and strategic planning.
    • Monitor and analyze financial performance against budget and key performance indicators.
  2. Budgeting and Forecasting:
    • Lead the annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads to develop accurate and achievable budgets.
    • Prepare regular forecasts and provide variance analysis to ensure financial targets are met.
  3. Cash Flow Management:
    • Manage cash flow and liquidity to ensure the companys operational and capital needs are met.
    • Oversee accounts receivable and payable functions to optimize working capital.
  4. Financial Reporting:
    • Prepare timely and accurate financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
    • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
  5. Cost Management:
    • Analyze costs and expenses to identify opportunities for cost control and efficiency improvements.
    • Provide guidance on cost estimation and pricing strategies for projects.
  6. Risk Management and Compliance:
    • Identify and mitigate financial risks through effective risk management strategies.
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant financial and regulatory requirements.
  7. Capital Expenditure and Investment Analysis:
    • Evaluate capital investment proposals and provide recommendations to senior management.
    • Monitor the performance of capital projects and conduct post-implementation reviews.
  8. Team Leadership and Development:
    • Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, providing guidance and support for their professional growth.
    • Foster a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement within the finance department.


Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field .
  • Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is a plus.
  • Experience in the construction industry or related field is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting standards.
  • Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
