Job Description

Reporting directly to the business owner, this role combines business and finance strategy and hands-on accountability for business performance analysis and reporting, budgeting and forecasting and project finance to drive sustainable growth.

Role Summary

• Work closely with the business owners to develop the financial strategy and financial models to improve  business performance and decision making.
  
• Identify financial and non-financial business drivers to optimize business performance and maximize EBITDA.
  
• Plan and manage the financial planning process – revenue forecasts, capital spending, budget variance analysis and monthly financial reporting to improve cash flow and margins.
  
• Financial forecasting and reporting, providing analysis on financial operating results and recommendations for profitability and variances based on revenue, margin, operating costs and working capital.
  
• Develop and manage sales incentive and performance bonus schemes based on financial and non-financial KPIs.
  
• Sales reporting – variance analysis, pipeline reporting and earned revenue.
  
• Ensure international best practice governance across the organization.
  
• Provide management information and insights for commercial opportunities including new product or market opportunities.
  
• Manage internal and external audits.
  

Mandatory Skills & Experience

• 10 – 15 years’ strategic finance management and financial planning & analysis in a well-established fast growth construction related business in the UAE.
  
• Ability to simulate financial scenarios to provide feasibility analysis on new business opportunities.
  
• Proven ability in capital management, establishing and managing performance KPIs, financial modelling, risk management, internal control frameworks, management reporting and IFRS.
  
• Strong commercial and financial acumen, analytical skills to evaluate business performance and profitability initiatives.
  
• Accounting team management experience – recruitment and training.
  
• Ability to synthesize large amounts of information, build financial models, data analytics and visualization and financial statement review using SQL, Tableau, Cognos or Essbase.
  
• Sound understanding of GAAP and IFRS.
  
• Familiarity with Quickbase is an advantage.
  

Mandatory Education

• Chartered Accountancy (ACA) is mandatory - no other qualification will be considered.

• Currently living in the United Arab Emirates.
  
• Aged between 35 – 45
  
• Fluent in English.
  
• Powerful communicator to lead business discussions; excellent presentation and interpersonal skills.
