Our client is a world leader in architectural glazing and glass and we are recruiting a glazing façade design manager to join their UAE operations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for building envelop design and detailing; conceptual and technical designs for façade systems

Role Summary

Prepare detailed shop drawings, sketches and schematic designs for aluminum and glass facades incorporating sustainability, solar energy, code regulations.
Conduct site visits and contribute to RFQs and tenders.
Participate in meetings with clients, architects, contractors and consultants.
Produce analysis, reports, calculations, risk assessments and designs incorporating thermal, wind load, solar, daylight and condensation analyses.

Mandatory Skills & Experience

10 – 15 years’ experience in façade design with contractors, consultants and building physicists.
Experience of fabrication and installation of façade systems, designing building envelopes, technical 3D models and renderings, layout and fabrication drawings, geometry analysis and structural calculations.
Working knowledge of façade related building codes and standards.
Proficient use of 2D and 3D AutoCAD, Rhino, SketchUp, Grasshopper or Autodesk Revit and Mepla Glass Software.
Excellent client coordination and project management skills.

Education

Candidate Profile

Currently living in the United Arab Emirates.
Good command of English – must be able to read, write and speak good English.
Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.Must be able to liaise with contractors, consultants and architects.
