Job Description


Role:


Leads and drives proactively and holistically leading enterprise responses to disruptive forces by identifying and analyzing the execution of change toward the desired business vision and targeted outcomes. Establishes and manages the enterprise architecture practice including framework, standards and guidelines and ensure that the respective business, application, data and technology elements are interlinked, and all aligned with organization strategy objectives and corporate governance principles.  Lead enterprise architects and technology SMEs to create, manage and maintain IT architecture models to attain to the organization’s strategic objectives and goals and manages the transition of the strategic architecture capabilities in a systematic, efficient, sustainable, and an agile manner using international best practices.


Responsibilities

 

Strategy/Governance

  • Leads the development of the architectural vision and the strategic technology planning and ensure that the respective business, application, data, and technology elements are interlinked, and all aligned with organization strategy objectives and corporate governance principles
  • Lead enterprise architects and technology SMEs to create, manage and maintain IT architecture models to attain to the organization’s strategic objectives and drive the enforcement of enterprise architecture practice and standards across the organization

Operational


Establishes and manages the enterprise architecture practice including framework, standards and guidelines encompassing:
    • Application architecture
    • Content and data architecture
    • Infrastructure architecture
    • Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)
    • Information Security Architecture
    • Architectural governance

 

  • Develops and maintains the enterprise blueprint including business, applications, infrastructure, data and security
  • Ensures technology governance as per the EA standards by leading the development, review and enforcement of enterprise architecture policies, standards and procedures in coordination with other functions and business units
  • Leads the definition of the vision, mission and goals and recommend change for the major transformation programs/projects
  • Manages and maintains a holistic view of the organization used technologies on all levels
  • Manages the development of architecture transition using capability based-planning techniques or other well-known techniques to achieve the to-be state, in cooperation with projects portfolio management and strategy and planning units
  • Actively contributes to increasing the exposure within the business to new ideas, ways to leverage technology and new trends in the technology market to foster innovation
  • Identifies and drives opportunities to simplify and leverage the existing tools/assets and resources across IT
  • Manages and maintains the development of the Services Oriented Architecture (SOA) - reference architecture for all related services and integration standards, models, and principles
  • Promotes the use of shared architecture components and systems to reduce costs, reduce implementation time and improve information flow between various systems
  • Leads the efforts of researching, studying, evaluating, and contributing to RFI/RFP/RFQ content and technical requirements
  • Manages the transformation and change management planning for all architecture vision components and target state architecture
  •  Participates and effectively contributes to the IT portfolio management practice including framework, policies, procedures, and processes
  • Participates and effectively contributes to the benefits realization measurement and management process for GIT
  • Participates and effectively contributes to the identification of real and potential risks emerging from organizational structure or process changes, technologies, or new activities to appropriately devise strategies that turn these risks into opportunities
  • Explore new and emerging technologies to create strategies to adopt these technologies and position GIT as an enabler to business units
  • Review and endorse GIT’s KPIs and targets in line with the developed technology strategy and with coordination with Strategy & Governance Head

Financial Management:


  • Prepare and endorse the IT strategy budget
  • Manage and report on IT strategy financial spending
  • Oversee the development of IT strategy initiatives TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) and ROI (Return on Investment)

People and Talent Management:


  • Formulate workforce planning reports and talent acquisition plans
  • Set performance management objectives for all reportees and perform mid-year and year-end performance reviews
  • Manage the team’s productivity to achieve the set KPIs and service levels
  • Develop and coach the team to enhance their knowledge, skills, and performance
  • Manage and resolve team conflicts

Stakeholder Management:


  • Build strong relationships and working collaboratively with internal/external stakeholders and customers to achieve objectives



Requirements

Education:


  • Bachelor’s Degree in information technology, computer science, computer engineering from a recognized university
  • Master’s Degree is preferable
  • Professional Architect Certificate, such as: TOGAF
  • Preferred professional certifications: (e.g., PMP, COBIT, ITIL…)

Experience:


  • 13+ years of Information Technology experience
  • 5+ years of relevant working experience
  • Working experience in Aviation / Government Banking / Banking is preferable
  • Working experience in enterprise architecture management: business, application, data, infrastructure, security and SOA
  • Working experience in developing technology strategies and roadmaps
  • Working experience in digital transformation and change management
  • Working experience in new technology trends investigation, study, proposal and implementation (e.g. IoT, Blockchain, Big Data, AI…)
  • Excellent knowledge of system development lifecycle methods and standards with hands on experience in various methods: (E.g., waterfall, iterative, agile, V Model…)
  • Excellent knowledge in project management methodology
  • Excellent knowledge in portfolio management practice
