Job Description

A group of companies which is a major supplier to major oil & gas mega-companies in addition to manufacturing industries is announcing the job: Engineer II - Sales & Marketing in Manama city, Bahrain.

The main objective of the job

Following up with customers to ensure orders have been fulfilled effectively. Attending meetings with customers and answering technical and sales questions

Deals with customer requests, answering queries and complaints, offering advice and introducing new products.

Maintains relationships with clients by providing support, information, and guidance; researching and recommending new opportunities.

Provide customer service to improve customer satisfaction and relationship.

Sells products by establishing contact and developing relationships with prospects.


Administrative and organizational intersections

Internal Relationships (excluding reporting line) : 

- Commercial & Sales Managers

- Sales Engineers

- Office Manager/ Administrator

- Finance Manager & Accountants

External relationships : Customer / Supplier representative in different organization



Main tasks and responsibilities

- To maintain relationships with the existing as well as new clients

- Responds to any inquiries from the consumer.

- Developing long-term relationships with customers through managing and interpreting their requirements

- Prepare and deliver technical presentations explaining products or services to customers and prospects 

- Generate maximum number of enquiries by regular personal visits to the clients using his long experience and relationship in the market with site engineers / buyers / owners.

- Guide the Sales Coordinators to contact the suitable suppliers / principals to have offers suitable to the correct specifications received in the enquiries.

- Review the offer received from suppliers / principals to be sure that it is compatible with our client requirements.

- Consult the Commercial Manager and got his approval for selected deals to put the reasonable offer to the client.

- Guide the Sales Coordinators to prepare the suitable quotations for the clients and to prepare the required Purchase orders to the suppliers / principals & to issue invoices and arrange the delivers to our clients.

- Following up with the clients / consultants / owners until receiving of purchase orders and fix the payments terms.

- Negotiate with suppliers / principals till have the best discounted prices and minimum delivery time.

- Following up with Administration regarding shipping, clearance until receiving the material in our warehouses to be sure that we will deliver the material to our clients on time

- Following up with our clients to have our payments on time.

- Follow up the quotes submitted on a regular basis till the order is secured, or if lost, try to find out the reasons and update Commercial Manager to avoid that in the future.

- To brief General Manager about the market position and the problems if any being faced and seek his advice as to how to be resolved.

- To extend the full hospitality for our suppliers / principals visitors to see that visitors are taken to maximum number of clients.

- To take care of any other jobs / responsibilities being allocated to him by Commercial Manager and supply him with any information required.

- Identifies product improvements or new products by remaining current on industry trends, market activities, and competitor.

- Conducting market research to identify selling possibilities and evaluate customer needs

- Setting up meetings with potential clients and listen to their wishes and concerns

- Prepare and deliver appropriate presentations on products/ services.

- Participate on behalf of the company in exhibitions or conferences

- To sell the company products/services by creating contacts and further making relationships with the prospects

- To be able to work with a team and achieve the desired results

 - Maintain and develop good relationship with customers through personal contact or meetings or via telephone etc.



Requirements

Qualifications and Experience Required

- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering-related fields, Master degree will be a plus.

Experienced in selling mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, or services to Major Oil & Gas clients like Aramco and SABIC.

- Knowledge in customer service

- Basic knowledge of company represented products/services and equipment

- Good PC Knowledge and other software’s related to the Sales.

- Should be excellent at analysis and problem solving skills, Stress & time management skills.

At least 3 years of experience in the same field.
