Job Description:

Position Overview: As a Medical Center Receptionist, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors. You will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service, managing administrative tasks, and ensuring smooth operations within the medical center.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet patients and visitors warmly and professionally, ensuring a positive first impression of the medical center.

  • Manage patient check-in and check-out processes efficiently, including verifying demographic and insurance information.

  • Schedule appointments for patients, ensuring accurate documentation of appointments and maintaining the appointment calendar.

  • Answer phone calls and emails promptly and professionally, directing inquiries to the appropriate staff members or departments.

  • Maintain a tidy and organized reception area, ensuring that patient information and confidentiality are upheld at all times.

  • Assist patients with completing necessary forms and paperwork, including insurance claims and medical history updates.

  • Collaborate with medical staff to ensure smooth patient flow and address any urgent or critical patient needs promptly.

  • Process payments, co-payments, and insurance claims accurately, utilizing electronic medical records (EMR) systems and billing software.

  • Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and inventory management as needed.

  • Stay informed about medical center services, policies, and procedures to provide accurate information to patients and visitors.

  • Handle patient inquiries and concerns with empathy and professionalism, escalating issues to appropriate personnel when necessary.
