Job Description

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Electrical Engineer – MEP to join our team for ongoing construction projects in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and supervising the electrical aspects of MEP works, ensuring that installations comply with project specifications, local regulations, and international standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Review electrical drawings, designs, and BOQs to ensure accuracy and alignment with project requirements.
Supervise and coordinate the execution of electrical works on-site, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low current systems.
Collaborate with other engineering disciplines, consultants, and subcontractors to resolve technical issues.
Prepare technical submittals, method statements, and material approvals in accordance with client and consultant requirements.
Ensure electrical installations meet safety and quality standards, and conduct inspections accordingly.
Assist in the testing, commissioning, and final handover of electrical systems.
Monitor project progress and ensure timely execution of electrical works.
Participate in project meetings and provide regular updates to the MEP Manager or Project Engineer.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
Minimum of 5–8 years of relevant experience in MEP roles within the construction industry, preferably in the GCC.
Strong understanding of electrical systems in high-rise buildings and infrastructure projects.
Knowledge of international codes and standards (IEC, NEC, IEEE, etc.).
Proficient in AutoCAD and electrical design tools; experience with Revit or BIM is a plus.
Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work under pressure and manage site activities effectively.
Transferable Iqama is an advantage (for candidates already in KSA).
Fluent in English; Arabic is a plus.
